Rat problem in March is not confined to City Road area

FOLLOWING on from your article headlined ‘You Dirty RAT’ (November 11) I wish to make the following observation.

I believe the Rat infestation is not confined to the City Road car park area in March. Travelling along Station Road towards the Town Centre last Wednesday I was held up for a short time near the Creek Road junction outside Morton Flats and was surprised to see two rats appear from the slightly raised sewer/waste chamber, collect debris from the surrounding land and return back.

I say surprised, but with the amount of food and debris scattered along Station Road and estate roads off, particularly over the weekends, expected is nearer the truth.
