A parade will be held to dedicate and unveil a replacement standard four years after the original version was destroyed in an arson attack at a church.

The March branch of the Royal Naval Association’s standard was destroyed when St Mary’s Church in Westry was set on fire.

The church was re-opened at a special service conducted by the Bishop of Ely on April 1.

An exact replica has been made of the standard and will be paraded on Sunday, July 6 at the church, where a service will also be held.

The service will be conducted by the branch chaplain Rev Anthony Chandler and will be attended by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire Freddie Grounds MBE and March Town Parade Marshal Major Spencer MBE.
