THE town centre of March was sealed off last night following an incident in which a man is thought to have threatened to throw himself off a roof.
Police took the decision to halt traffic into and out of Broad Street whilst emergency services attended to try and resolve the situation.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to concerns for a man at an address in Broad Street, March, shortly after 8.30pm yesterday.
“The road was closed while officers attended and the man was detained under the Mental Health Act.”
The town had re-opened by 10.30pm.
