I FIND it very hard to accept that the article ‘worse than prison’ is a reflection of some modern parents but my own experience reinforces that it is.

I FIND it very hard to accept that the article ‘worse than prison’ is a reflection of some modern parents but my own experience reinforces that it is. In my Close, children can not be chastised as their parents endorse their wrong-doings.

Why would Shannon’s parents support their daughter wearing these metal/plastic things in/on her body, never mind to school? I am totally supportive of Tim Hitch because as a former teacher I find that he has so much to contend with in this current society.

If Shannon thinks that it would be better in prison, let her go there for a while and wear all the ‘bling’ she desires.

Maybe a little make-up in the 6th form and discreet jewellery may be acceptable, however I do hope that Mr Hitch continues to support the standards that he has imposed, because school is all about education, discipline and preparation for life. Let us get back some respect in society.
