A £330,000 project to resurface the A141 Fenland Way begins overnight on Monday (September 21).

To avoid the closure of the road, Cambridgeshire County Council will complete the work using a convoy system.

There will be a closure on the B1050, Huntingdon Road, for the first three nights of work, so that the Huntingdon Road roundabout can be resurfaced and re-opened as quickly as possible.

Doddington Road is due for resurfacing later this year, together with bridge improvements. This will likely begin after the Christmas holidays and involve a road closure.

In Chatteris. a project is ongoing to create a new footpath across the Wenny Road Park, linking Wenny Road and Cromwell Community College to the eastern housing estates. This work is being completed in partnership with Fenland District Council, who are building a skate park.

A traffic calming scheme is moving forward in Wenny Road, with new parking restrictions, a pedestrian crossing and width reductions. This will slow cars around the school.
