A new living complex has been officially launched with the help of the Mayor of Ely, Councillor Mike Rouse, who joined local retirees for the grand opening.
Cllr Rouse was joined by staff, homeowners and their relatives to perform a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the development on Lisle Lane.
“I was delighted to be invited to be part of this latest milestone at Roslyn Court. I enjoyed talking to local retirees who have made the move to the new development, and it was great to see first-hand how McCarthy and Stone is now boosting the choice for older people in Ely and beyond,” he said.
The celebration at Roslyn Court was also an opportunity for people to enjoy a guided tour of the development to see how they could enjoy their retirement in a low maintenance apartment.
Cheryl Bissett, regional sales and marketing director at McCarthy and Stone East Midlands, said: “The development enjoys a prime location with access to a superb array of local amenities.”
The development bridges a gap between conventional retirement living and residential care.
It keeps independence in the form of home ownership with peace of mind of additional security and support services.
