The sun and crowds came out for the annual service and parade on Sunday at Ely Cathedral for the Royal Anglian Regiment Association Cambridgeshire.

The Lord Lieutenant Mrs Julie Spence OBE, QPM, The mayor of Ely, Cllr Richard Hobbs and Brigadier Tim Seal TD DL VR took the salute

Guests included Jason Ablewhite, Police and Crime Commissioner with representatives from the Cambridgeshire Regiment Association, The Royal Anglian Regiment, The Royal British Legion and the Army Cadet Force.

The parade, lead by the Army Cadet Force Corps of Drums was followed by “D” Cambridgeshire Coy, 1st Bn. Royal Anglian Regiment, The Royal Anglian Regiment Association (Cambridgeshire), the RBL and County Standards followed by Cambridgeshire Army Cadets and the 876 RBL Riders on their motor bikes.

The parade was followed by a Drum Head Service on Cross Green. The battalion’s drums were assembled to form an altar on which the Queen’s Colours were placed on top of the drums.
