Organisers of a community litter-pick in Doddington are hoping it will inspire residents to roll up their sleeves and form a new voluntary environment group.
The litter-pick will start from the Church Rooms in New Street on Wednesday, June 21, at 6.30pm, and will be followed immediately afterwards by a meeting to officially launch a new village Street Pride group at 7.30pm.
The event has been organised by Fenland District Council’s Street Pride Co-ordinator after residents came forward about forming a new group following an initial meeting to set one up in April.
Residents young and old are welcome to attend the litter-pick and equipment will be provided. Anyone attending is asked to wear suitable clothing and footwear. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. For information email streetpride@fenland.gov.uk.
