WESTERN riding came to the Fens when more than 100 horses competed at one of the newest western equestrian facilities in the country.
Horse Creek Farm Arena (correct) at March was the venue for the East Coast Quarter Horse show held at the weekend.
Organisers decided to move the show to the home of Sovereign Quarter horses after concerns about the surface at its usual venue.
Sovereign Quarter horses is managed by David and Sarah Deptford. Mr Deptford has been riding Western since he was eight years old and is recognised as a leading UK breeder and trainer of Quarter horses.
Show organisers, the East Coast Quarter Horse Circuit, said it was delighted with the response from riders and spectators. Riders travelled from as far away as Scotland to take part.
There will be another show at the same venue in September.
