Rail passengers will benefit from improvements to March rail station as Abellio Greater Anglia refurbishes its buildings, platforms and footbridge.
The work includes refurbishment of the footbridge, with the installation of a new, non-slip surface and repainting in heritage colours.
The brickwork will be repainted and damaged bricks replaced, as well as repairs made to windows and doors.
Paul Stannard, Abellio’s area customer service manager, said: “This will result in a safer, smarter and more pleasant station environment for our customers.”
The work is expected to be completed later in the spring and the footbridge will be closed for around eight weeks, with an alternative crossing point available via the level crossing.
