A NEW safety initiative by March Lions will help keep school pupils and staff out harm’s way when they go out on trips and visits in the future.
The club has bought more than 300 high visibility jackets for use by schools, and they were handed over during a special assembly at All Saints Primary School in March.
Lions president Trevor Stockbridge was assisted by other club members when he presented 60 junior jackets to five schools - All Saints Primary, Burrowmoor Primary, Cavalry Primary, Maple Grove Infants, and Westwood School. Another dozen adult jackets were shared among the schools.
Head teacher of All Saints Primary School, Rachel Beeson, thanked the Lions on behalf of all the schools and said that the vests would be an invaluable safety aid for both pupils and staff.
