SATELLITE navigation systems have been stolen across the Fens at the rate of one every two days since the beginning of the year.
Police are urging people to remove satellite navigation systems from unattended vehicles following an increase in thefts in the past two weeks.
"Satellite navigation systems are being left on display tempting opportunist thieves," said PC Phil Carpenter, of the community safety unit.
"In the past two weeks we have had around £2,000 worth of satellite navigation equipment stolen from vehicles across Huntingdonshire and the Fenland area," he said.
"Unfortunately it is not safe to leave anything in your car - something which may not seem valuable to you can tempt a theft.
"In the case of a satellite navigation system you are leaving the thief with something that is easy to steal and easy to sell on.
"I would therefore urge motorists to remove satellite navigation and all other valuable items from your vehicle before leaving them unattended.
