MORE than 50 children, accompanied by their parents, took part in a Halloween fun day at the Village Community Centre, Wisbech.
The event was linked to the family learning week, which has taken place throughout the month across Cambridgeshire.
Among activities was a visit by Cambridgeshire ACRE, which showed children how herbs can be used in food.
Hetty Thornton, Fenland community and education officer, visited from Wisbech Museum with skulls and bones to display and let children touch.
A representative from the Family Archive was also there to explain what life was like in years gone by, and the IT suite at the centre was opened for people to get a taste of what the centre has to offer.
On top of that were face painting, card making, apple bobbing, a balloon release and new age curling.
