THE Senior Citizens Club met on last Wednesday in the Tower Hall. Chairman Barbara Wiltshire welcomed 28 members and two visitors and reported that members arrangements had been made for a social afternoon in October, a bingo in November and a New Year's party. A birthday card and gift was given to Sylvia Day. Games winners were: Curling, Doreen Bell and Joy Bell; Putting, Graham Robinson and Mary Chapman. During refreshments, served by Mary Chapman and Maureen Gorman, the raffle was drawn. Bingo followed with caller Audrey Smith. Winners were Pauline Bowley, Sylvia Day, Marjory Oxbury and Mrs Bell. The afternoon finished with the auction which raised £27. Next meeting: Wednesday, August 2 (2pm).
