MARCH woman Kerry Jordan will have to wait to learn her fate until the trial of her brother Nicholas after appearing for sentencing at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday.

But Judge Gareth Hawkesworth warned that a custodial sentence was "almost inevitable" after watching CCTV footage of an incident at USA Chicken, March.

He said: "Different things may emerge during the trial for your brother and it is quite right to hear that evidence until sentencing is passed onto you."

Kerry Jordan had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to attempting to rob a video cassette from USA Chicken, in Broad Street, March, on May 1. She also admitted racially aggravated threatening behaviour, and racial assault, against Seyfullah Gilgal on the same date.

Nicholas Jordan, formerly of March but now living in Peterborough, is charged with the same offences, as well as possessing a tasar, amphetamines and herbal cannabis.

He will return to Cambridge Crown Court on January 19 next year for plea and case management. His case has been held up as he failed to attend an earlier hearing, the court heard.

Kerry Jordan will remain on bail, on the condition that she lives at a specified flat in Station Road, March, and Nicholas Jordan will remain on unconditional bail until his hearing.
