Paintings, portraits and large lettuces were the order of the day at this year’s Coates Village Show.
Hundreds of people visited Holy Trinity Church on Saturday where they enjoyed stalls, a sweet tombola, raffle, games and more.
In the morning there was a show competition, with Sharon Weston and her large lettuce being crowned overall winner.
Other categories included fruit and salad, flowers and plants, cookery, handicraft and farming, as well as categories specifically for children.
In the afternoon, family-friendly activities kept children and adults entertained.
Alan Ollenbittle, organiser of the show, said: “Everyone enjoyed themselves very much.
“There were some really top class paintings and portraits and we welcomed between 200 and 300 people throughout the day.
“It was a very successful show once again.”
The Coates Village Show Committee consists of several villagers from Coates.
