Shed splashed with colour as families begin painting mural at Fenland children’s centre

A SHED has been splashed with colour after parents and children united to paint the first phase of a mural at Whittlesey Children’s Centre.

Artists from Atelier East planned designs for the mural, which is already giving a new lease of life to a tattered old shed.

Families attended the first drop-in painting session on Tuesday - with Fenland District and Cambridgeshire County Councillor Martin Curtis even picking up a paintbrush to lend a hand.

The mural will be completed at a second drop-in session this Tuesday (August 23) from 12-4pm. T-shirts can be provided but guests are advised to wear old clothes.
