A March tattoo shop is holding a charity day on Saturday where you can get inked in aid of MIND.

You can show your support for the mental health charity by going along to Grey Area tattoo shop, of 127-129 High Street, from 10am onwards and asking for a semi colon tattoo. The shop will close when the last willing client is done.

The semi colon is used as an icon for those who have suffered or know someone to have suffered from mental health - it symbolises continuing life as it would in the grammatical sense of continuing a sentence.

The tattoo will cost £30 - £20 goes to MIND and the rest is to cover the shop’s costs on what is a non-profit day.

Grey Area, on its Facebook page, posted: “Our usual minimum charge for tattoos such as this is £40, we have dropped it down for the day to just £30 and £20 of every tattoo we do will be donated to the charity MIND.

“£10 will cover cost of all equipment used and studio facilities used.

“It will be a non-profit day for all except those of you awesome enough to walk away with your mark and the charity itself. We want a massive turn out.

“We will open at 10 am, begin tattooing from 11am and close when the very last willing client is done!

“ID will be required as tattoos are for 18+ only. Tell your friends, invite your friends! Let’s make some cool tattoos and some good money for a great cause.”
