THERE was peace and quiet for at least 15 minutes every day this week at a Chatteris after-school club while 30 youngsters were taking part in a sponsored silence. The Meadows Community Centre's after-school club is raising money to buy new outdoor play

THERE was peace and quiet for at least 15 minutes every day this week at a Chatteris after-school club - while 30 youngsters were taking part in a sponsored silence.The Meadows Community Centre's after-school club is raising money to buy new outdoor play equipment, such as scooters and roller skates for the centre's holiday club.Susan Kelly, from the Meadows Community Centre said: "The children came up with the idea as part of re-launching the holiday club, and it has gone really well.
