An investigation has been launched this afternoon (Monday) after a single decker bus came off the track crossing the cycle path before ending up on an embankment.

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash in Foster Road, Trumpington in Cambridge.

The incident happened at around 2pm today and the BBC is reporting five injured, one person with chest injuries.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire County Council said: “We can confirm an investigation into how the incident took place. There is a cordon in place while these investigations take place.”
