URGENT work is due to start tomorrow to repair a section of the Sixteen Foot Bank near Chatteris, which has become unstable.
The works are being carried out by Cambridgeshire County Council near the Old Pumping Station on the verge farthest away from the drain.
Work will start tomorrow and is due to take one and a half weeks. To protect the safety of road users and workers traffic signals will be in operation 24 hours.
A spokesman said: “The council would like to apologise for any delays and ask motorists to leave plenty of time for their journey.”
