MP for South East Cambridgeshire and former Farming and Food Minister, Sir Jim Paice, has announced that he will not contest his seat at the next election.

Sir Jim announced today that he would not be contesting the next General Election, saying he did not believe it was right to commit himself into his 70s.

The Fordham resident has represented the South East Cambridgeshire constituency since 1987 being elected for a sixth term in 2010 with a majority of 5,946.
