A continuous baton relay around a school playground raised £460 for Sports Relief at Cavalry Primary School and nursery.
The children and staff dressed in sports gear and held a continuous relay around the playground for six hours from 9am- 3pm.
All of the children took part, walking, skipping, jogging or running 30 minute stints in their classes or year groups.
A school spokesman said: “The baton was carried for more than 30 miles and even the miserable weather didn’t put anybody off.
“Miss Ellis kept the baton going whilst the children ate their lunch and a good day was had by all.”
