Six Iraqi immigrants arrested after being found in back of lorry at A141, Chatteris

Five Iraqi men and one woman were found in the back of a lorry on the A141 at Chatteris this afternoon.

All six were taken into custody at King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre and will be handed over to immigration services.

Police said: “We were called at 1.08pm to reports of concern for people in the back of a lorry in Earith.

“Officers stopped the lorry in New Road, Chatteris.

“A diversion was set up directing traffic off of the bypass down New Road into Chatteris.”
