Two high-flying sixth form students at Wisbech Grammar School have beaten stiff competition to win offers of places at Cambridge University.
Holly Young, 17, of King’s Lynn, has an offer to read medicine at Newnham College on the condition that she achieves the required A Level grades in the summer.
A senior prefect at the school, she serves on the school’s Caritas charity committee and carries out voluntary work in the community.
Michael Tigchelaar, 17, from King’s Lynn, is set to read maths at Magdalene College, provided he gains the required grades in June.
The captain of the school’s basketball team, he is also an active member of the philosophy club.
