THREE officers from Fenland District Council took to the skies last week to raise nearly £1,500 for charity.
Hetty Thornton, Amy Wilson and Vicki Whittingstall, from the council’s community support and economic development teams, did a joint skydive in aid of East of England’s Children’s Hospices.
The charity provides care and support to life-threatened children and their families across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
Mrs Thornton said: “It was the most exhilarating experience of our lives and we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us so generously and to UK Parachuting at Sibson airfield.”
Ms Whittingstall added: “It was a surreal experience – a massive adrenaline rush – which none of us will ever forget.”
