Skylark Garden Centre near March is anticipating its best Halloween yet following the addition of Fenland’s only ‘Grow Your Own’ pumpkin patch.

Visitors to the centre will be able to choose their very own pumpkin and pluck it fresh from the fields, which they can then choose to take home or carve out their own designs in the new marquee.

The garden centre puts on Halloween festivities every year, including a maze and and fun yard.

Edward Gowler, owner of the centre says: “This attraction is completely unique to the Fenland area; we can’t think of anywhere in Cambridgeshire that does it!”

Edward added: “We have planted nearly a thousand pumpkins for this year, it has been a great success in other parts of the country so next year we could be planting tens of thousands.

“It really is a great family day out, the children love the new attractions like the jumping pillow and the redesigned go-kart track especially as they can enjoy all the attractions with their parents.”

There will also be the Phantom Blaster Tractor Ride during the week, where visitors are invited to zap ghouls using Nerf guns.

Attractions like the new jumping pillow, go-kart race track, zip-wire, farmyard animals and more will be available for the whole week.

Skylar Garden Centre is open daily from the October 24-31, 10am to 4pm with last entry at 3pm. The cost is £9 Children and £8 Adults & Seniors and under threes are free.

Discounted tickets can be bought online at www.skylarkmaizemaze.co.uk with discount codes from Facebook or Twitter or on the day on the gate.
