A mask-wearing man threw a smoke bomb into a shop in Whittlesey before leaving the scene in a white van.
The Nisa store in Victory Avenue was half filled with smoke after the incident on Wednesday (16) at about 9pm.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: “It is believed the offender was a man wearing a mask, black trainers and a blue hoody and left in a small, white, hatchback-style van.
“No arrests have been made at this time. No one was injured.”
