SPONSORED silences, penny collections and dressing up as a Smurf were all part of an unusual school day at Cromwell Community College.
The Chatteris school raised �962.02 for Children in Need with their efforts on Friday.
Year 7 students filled an outline drawing of Pudsey Bear in with pennies to raise �14.86 and Thomas Barnes contributed �8.39 by coming to school as a Smurf.
Maggie Powell raised �10.80 by selling chocolate while Natasha Gilespie and Natasha Ray were sponsored �20.44 to stay silent for the day.
