DRIVERS got their cars polished at a Fenland fire station on Saturday as part of the Fire Service's national car wash day.
Car owners were also given advice on how to keep their families safe from fire on their short stop at Chatteris Fire Station.
The car wash raised £622.97 for the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund, which helps to enhance the quality of life for serving and retired firefighters and their families.
Andrew Stracey, a Chatteris firefighter who took part in the car wash, said: "About 10 firefighters joined in throughout the day.
"We did not stop washing cars for one minute and luckily we did not get called out.
