Two volunteers from a Fenland charity raised £274 when they created a spooky display with their friends to raise money for charity.

The graveyard display complete with characters in Halloween costumes, attracted scores of parents and children along to their home in Wisbech Road in March.

The money raised by Jo and Tommy Kelly will go towards activity sessions run at Eddie’s, a charity which supports people with learning disabilities.

The couple were inspired to raise money for Eddie[‘s having been volunteer befrienders with the charity for almost four years.

On the night they spooked local visitors, offered pumpkin soup and encouraged visitors to donate to the good cause.

Suzanne Lombardo, volunteers coordinator at Eddies said the funds would be used to fund monthly activities including zumba, arts and crafts, photography club, and themed events.
