Wisbech Air Cadets are looking for new members to join in a varied programme of events for 13 to 16 year olds.

The 272 (Wisbech) Squadron are holding an open evening on Monday May 19 at their Sandyland Headquarters, near Aldi supermarket in Wisbech.

The evening starts at 7.30pm where you will have a chance to see first hand what the Air Cadets are all about. Staff and cadets will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

The group is able to offer a wide range of activities to cadets from the traditional flying, shooting and adventure training through to model making, first aid training and the band.

There is also a wide range of more academic activities including the opportunity to gain BTEC qualifications through the activities that you take part in each week.

The squadron are keen supporters of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme and offer all cadets the opportunity to complete at least the Bronze award. Cadets gain teamwork and leadership skills as well as the opportunity to meet new friends and go places

IIf you can’t make the evening but still want to join then come along to the intake night on Thursday May 22.
