AT last Wednesday's monthly meeting of the Women's Own the Rev Harry Wood gave an illustrated talk on his trip to New Zealand, with particular mention of the culture and customs of the Maori people. A short business meeting was held to discuss future events and an offering was taken for WO funds. Refreshments were served by Bridget Fox, Jean Dowe, Vilma Clark and Hazel Rumsey. The monthly meeting of the Wisbech Circuit Men's Supper Club was held on Friday when a meal was prepared, cooked and served by Graham Beeken assisted by Wally Horspole, Michael Smalley, Colin Thompson, Roger Dack and Alan Sherfield. Derek Andrews welcomed everyone and especially the speaker, whose subject was her work as a haematologist in the cancer unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn. Everyone was thanked by Roger Dack.
