A WELL-attended crib service on Christmas Eve was led by the Rev Den Hague, who showed the Christmas story in a different way with a Powerpoint animated presentation. Carols were accompanied by Joan Thompson (piano), Roger Dack (guitar), Pauline Beeken (organ), Graham Beeken (euphonium) and Jason Burford (violin). A collection for the National Children's Home raised £155. After the service coffee and mince pies were served by Bridget Fox, Joan Thompson, Joy Smalley, Sue Dack, Sue Askew, Jean Dowe, Penny Waldock and Pauline Beeken. Members of St James went carol singing at The Marshland Arms, Marshland St James, and The Woolpack, Terrington St John, during the week leading up to Christmas. On Christmas morning many families attended the service led by the Rev Hague, who used marionettes as part of the service and was helped by many of the children.
