MEMBERS were told at the latest meeting that the recent sale had raised £232 was raised and that Mrs MacGregor, from Scotland, won the £10 voucher in the 'On the water' quiz sheet which added £107 to the branch's funds. The new quiz sheet 'Rivers' is now available. It was reported that two days collecting at Tesco, March, brought in another £770 and that £315.50, donated in memory of the father of Anne Wells, had been give to the branch.

Members were reminded that Friday April 20 was quiz night and that the tombola evening was on May 10, both at 7.30pm.

The branch will celebrate its 30th anniversary in May with a display of photographs in Chatteris Library. Other ways to celebrate are being investigated.. As the Arthritis Group does not feel able to organise the Chatteris in Bloom open gardens this year the branch is to take it on. The branch is looking for people willing to open their gardens between 2pm and 6pm on July 1 or 15. Money from the entrance programmes will go to Chatteris St John Ambulance. Garden owners can just be on hand at the appropriate time to show visitors around or answer questions about their plants. If they wish they can run stalls, a draw, competition or serve refreshments to raise money for a charity of their choice. Those prepared to open their gardens should call 01354 695154.
