Thank you to all those who sold or bought Chatteris St John Ambulance “Homes” quiz sheet. Wendy Endersby our County Commissioner drew the winning entry during the Open gardens afternoon. Mrs D Birch of Keighly in Yorkshire is the winner and receives the 10 voucher. In all 112 entries were sent in of which 61 were all correct. This time 155 was raised for our funds. A new sheet “Liquids” is now available.

Thank you also goes to the garden owners, tea servers, ticket sellers and visitors who made the “Open Gardens” event such a success. After the poor turnout the first week we feared that not much money would be raised, however more people supported us the second week and all told 718.89 has been banked for St John Ambulance and approximately 500 for other charities. People are already talking about next year. If we can find a few gardens that have not opened before or not for several years the event will again take place. Thank you to everyone including this newspaper for the help we receive in this division.
