A group of brave employees from chartered accountants Price Bailey are planning to climb Africa’s highest mountain to raise money for charity.

Nine employees, of the firm which has offices in Ely, will set off on November 26 to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania which rises approximately 4,900 m from its base to 5,895 metres above sea level.

The expedition is expected to raise more than £20,000 for World Child Cancer which treats children with cancer living in developing countries.

Price Bailey Partner Howard Sears, who is part of the team, said: “We’ve all been training hard and getting equipped in preparation for the journey and are now ready to go. We’re under no illusion about how difficult it may be but we’re determined to do all we can to get to the top...and back down again.”

Last year Price Bailey employees raised £60,000 for World Child Cancer through a wide variety of activities. This expedition will add to that total.
