STAFF at a corner shop in Littleport were held up at knifepoint in a terrifying robbery last night.
A man walked into the One Stop outlet, in Wisbech Road, shortly before 5pm and threatened staff with a knife before demanding cash from the till.
The contents of the till were handed over and the man fled before staff were able to call police. The amount of cash stolen remains unclear.
Later that evening a 45-year-old man from Littleport was arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken to Parkside police station, in Cambridge, where he remains.
Staff at the store told the Ely Standard they were unable to comment on the incident.
