Star for a Star initiative launched in Chatteris

A SPECIAL Christmas tribute to loved ones in Chatteris is also helping to raise money for local worthy causes.

For the second year running, funeral home J H Landin and Son is running its Star For A Star initiative, allowing residents to place a personalised message on the town’s Christmas tree.

Each stars costs 3, and proceeds will go to Mayor of Chatteris, Coun John Chambers’ charity fund.

The Mayor said: “I think Star For A Star is a lovely idea – it’s nice to be able to remember our loved ones at Christmas time and it’s brilliant that local causes that my fund supports will benefit.”

Stars are available from J H Landin and Son at 72 High Street, Chatteris. You can also get them at the town’s Christmas lights switch-on event on Saturday, December 1.
