GRANDMOTHER Stella Snow raised more than £1,000 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance when she celebrated her 70th birthday by completing a tandem skydive.
Mrs Snow, a retired college lecturer, of March, completed her skydive in May at the UK Skydiving Centre in Wimblington.
She said: “I decided to mark my ‘significant’ birthday by doing something right out of my comfort zone.
“I asked my family and friends not to give me any presents, treats or parties to mark this milestone, but instead donate anything they may have spent to a fund for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.”
She raised £1,075, which was presented to Mary Dunn of the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
