PRESIDENT Nad Stoker welcomed everyone, including visitor Pat Lucca, to their September meeting. Audrey Goodyear accompanied the singing of Jerusalem on the piano.

Invitations have been received to St Mary's WI's annual dinner, and to a quiz at Tydd St Giles. Names were also taken for a whist luncheon at Wisbech.

Speaker was Hilda Bond on 'Meals in Minutes', using very few ingredients in each recipe. She demonstrated three savoury dishes and two desserts. Linda Higgins gave a vote of thanks.

Mrs Bond gave the following points for the competition for 'an unusual kitchen utensil': Connie Holmes 10, Val Stacey nine, Audrey Goodyear eight, Nad Stoker, Valerie Bedford and Gill Hall seven. Tea hostesses were Edna Pepper and Val Stacey.

Visitors will be welcome to the next meeting on October 12 (7pm) when there will be fire fly silk painting demonstration.
