MARCH Street Pride Group have planted more than 400 trees in an attempt to provide a “corridor of wildlife” in the town.
The group spent Saturday morning planting the trees alongside the railway line, in Willowherb Close.
Jeanette Milner, Street Pride Co-ordinator, said: “When they begin to flower we are going to try and make them into a hedge and create a corridor of wildlife there.
“Thanks must go to the Woodland Trust for donating the trees as part of the Avatar Home Tree Initiative.”
