Students at Neale-Wade Academy in March designed anti-bullying posters and raised £242 for the Diana Award Anti-Bullying Campaign at the same time.

The competition, which was open to all year groups, asked the students to use the theme “If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all”.

A winner was chosen from each year group.

Sara-Jane Tilley from Year 7, Elina Ritere from Year 8, April King from Year 9 and Amber Dobslaw from Year 10 were the winners.

Elina Ritere was the overall winner, and her poster will now be on display around the academy to remind students of the negative affect bullying can have on its victims said the school.

The money was raised by members of Here to Listen who worked hard during their breaks and lunchtimes of Anti Bullying Week to raise awareness and fund raise.
