MOLLIE Wykes presided over the Sunshine Club meeting in the village hall last Wednesday, when a minute's silence was observed in memory of Peggy Duffield who died recently. Congratulations were extended to Miriam and

Ernie Sullivan on the occasion of their diamond wedding anniversary and they were presented with a box of fruit.

Produce was auctioned by Derek Barnes, raising £80. Members enjoyed tea and cake supplied by

Ernie Sullivan. The draw, which raised £72, was organised by Mrs J Neal. Next meeting: October 11, village hall.
