SCHOOL cook Jenny Edwards said an emotional farewell to colleagues, pupils and governors, past and present, at a surprise party.
Mrs Edwards has been a cook at Guyhirn Primary School for more than 20 years, and a barbecue to mark her service to the school was held, with the Wississippi Jazz Men providing the music.
Headteacher Justine Allen thanked her for all her hard work and presented her with a water feature for her garden on behalf of the school. During assembly last Wednesday morning Mrs Edwards was presented with a bouquet.
The head commented: "Jenny has worked exceptionally hard, is always kind, generous and thoughtful. She knows all the children individually, and takes care to see that they try healthy options on the menu."
Mrs Edwards admitted she would miss working with the children, but said she was looking forward to spending more time with her grandchildren.
Mrs Edwards is pictured with Guyhirn School pupils at her retirement barbecue.
