A tabby cat - who went on a tour of Cambridgeshire in the back of a works van - has been reunited with her owner.
Pandora has been staying at Best Friends Veterinary Practice in Chatteris while staff hunted for her owners.
Pandora was reunited with her owner, who lives in Ipswich, after one of her owner’s friends saw the appeal online and alerted her.
Denise Woodley, receptionist at the Chatteris veterinary practice, said: “We are relieved and delighted that the cat has found her owner, who was very grateful to everyone for raising awareness of the appeal.
“When she came to collect Pandora from us she also asked us to microchip her to ensure that if this happened again then the cat’s owner could easily be identified.”
The Chatteris practice gave a microchip free of charge, as “a goodwill gesture to mark a nice end to the story”.
The cat did a tour of the county when she climbed into the back of a works van in Ipswich on Saturday June 30.
It was a task to find the owners as they could have been from any of the locations that the van stopped at on that day, including March, Wisbech, Chatteris, Cambridge, Peterborough and Ipswich.
Since the appeal went out Pandora was transferred to the team at Fenland Animal Rescue so she could be looked after during the weekend.
