YOUNGSTERS went back in time to get a taste of what life was like in 9th Century Whittlesey.
The Year 6 pupils at Alderman Jacobs School in Whittlesey dressed in Viking clothes and enjoyed a traditional feast.
Throughout the day the pupils were taken through all aspects of Viking life by local re-enactment experts Clan Wulfhar. The group gave demonstrations of Viking combat and had a living history display of Dark Age tents, a cooking area and an armoury.
