A TEENAGE girl was assaulted by another girl as she sat with friends near March Library.

The attack, described as unprovoked, happened between 6.30pm and 7pm on Wednesday January 5 in City Road.

The victim and her three friends were approached by three girls and a boy. One of the girls approached the victim and threatened her before grabbing and punching her to the face.

The attacker is described as black, about 15, and wearing a black hooded top, large hooped earrings and Ugg-style boots.

Pc Dave Marsh said: “The victim suffered slight injuries but the attack was unprovoked and she was left shaken by what happened.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or thinks they recognise the description provided.”
