A teenager died when she was in collision with a car while walking with a friend on a rural road in Thorney.
Emma Cockerill, 16, of New Cut, Thorney, died following the collision on Friday (22).
A police spokesman said that a car was travelling southbound along New Cut at about 5.25pm when the collision happened.
“It is believed Emma and her friend, who was not injured, were walking along the road when the incident happened.
“The teenager was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge but sadly died on Saturday (23).”
