Nearly 80 teenagers spent three days learning skills to help them become better citizens.

They took part in a series of activities at Mepal adventure centre, Bircham Newton centre and the College of West Anglia.

The programme was organised by the college’s uniformed services section.

The participants, aged 16-17 years old, tried their hand at climbing, high ropes, kayaking, shooting and archery.

They were given talks and demonstrations by Norfolk Traffic Police, the Fire Service and the college’s PCSO Ollie Gilder.

Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner Stephen Bett talked about his role and the importance of teamwork.

Another programme will be held for young people in the summer.
